Samaritan Homes, Inc. provides 24-hour, 7-days a week personal care.  All homes are licensed by the State of Michigan, and designed to accommodate the individual preferences and needs of the men and women who live in them.  Each individual is encouraged to become an integral member of the community in which they live based on their preferences, interests and responsibilities. Supports are provided by highly-trained Direct Support Professionals with a variety of educational backgrounds in conjunction with clinical professionals.

Individual Service Plans are team driven and aimed at providing training and support in the following areas:

Clinical support and services are provided by professional staff in the areas of speech, nursing, psychology, nutrition, and recreation as outlined in each person’s service plan. The individual’s support and services are developed utilizing positive behavioral support strategies.

Day Programs

Samaritan Homes, Inc. Day programs serve adults with developmental disabilities. Services are provided in a variety of locations, each of which provides slightly different supports and services based on the physical environment and level of clinical supports available.  Daily activities are provided based on service plan, developed by each individual’s team, that focus on increased self-esteem and improved relationships with other people, development of new skills and community participation.  Members of the team include the individual, parents, residential providers, service coordinators, direct care providers and various clinical staff where clinical services are provided.  Clinical supports including psychology, social work, recreation therapy, nursing and speech therapy are provided at some day-to-day program locations and are based on individual needs.  Door-to-door transportation services are also provided.
